I miss you

I don't know the proper words

To truly express how I fill

There is this pain this loneliness

This emptiness oh so real

I miss you so very much

Your love has been my delight

It’s only been two short days

Already I can't sleep at night

My prayers are with you right now

My mind consumed with thoughts

Of how much you mean to me

No love like this can be bought

My love, my deepest emotions

Has been so strong, so pure

My love grows ever stronger

For this I know I’m sure

You are my soul mate

Even though we're miles apart

These thoughts play over in my mind

And also in my heart

I pray that you will soon be here

And home for us to talk

To hold and cuddle one another

Or maybe take a quiet walk

I long for the day when you are home

To feel my tender touch

I love you with all my heart

I miss you so very much
