Playing Games |
As a baby learning how
to the games we used to play,
patty cake and peek a boo
It’s just another day
Growing older at about three
throwing balls and running
laughing, singing all around
we thought we were so cunning.
Now that we are in school
more games we need to know
that build our minds to shape our lives
they help our minds to grow |
Some games we learn are for life
and some are just for fun
Some games teach us strategy
we love it when we’ve won |
Other games aren’t taught in schools
we learn them on the street
we play them in everything we do
and with everyone we meet |
It’s in our home and business too
our neighbors we can see
playing games with each others minds
can’t they just let people be |
From young to old we have learned
that winning is our goal
to compete against another
soon one day takes it toll |
To some people think
that love is just a game
but the one they have hurt
will never be the same |
Even governments and countries
with peoples lives they play
they change the rules when they lose
and call it another day |
Churches and temples, Atheists too
all are just the same
When you take a deeper look
It’s all some methodical game |
It all just starts with games we like
patty cake and peek a boo
kickball and base ball
Monopoly and Life too |
They all have taught us this one lesson
from beginning to end
that winning is our only goal
and all that matters is to win |
Why can’t it be that when we play
or learn by using games
that win or lose, no matter what
To treat everyone the same |
